The medals are accompanied by their original posthumous transmission slip from the Under-Secretary of State for War and the Army Council, specifically named to Pte. H. Ormondroyd. Also included is the original cardboard O.H.M.S. mailing box addressed to the soldier’s widow, Mrs. E. Ormondroyd, 12 Clare Road, Wyke, Bradford. Further provenance is provided by a certified copy of an entry of birth for Patricia Margaret Ormondroyd, dated 18th September 1942, which records the father’s details as Pte. W.
