A solid oak three-legged cow stool from the workshop of Robert Mouseman Thompson of Kilburn, North Yorkshire. The stool features a kidney-shaped seat supported by three tapered octagonal legs. The construction utilizes through-tenon joinery, with the leg tops visible and wedged into the seat surface. The piece is signed with the characteristic trademark mouse carved in high relief to the front edge of the seat, featuring defined ears and a slender tail extending along the side.
