This lot contains two vintage ceramic jugs. The first is a Clarice Cliff Harvest pattern jug manufactured by Newport Pottery, England. The piece is crafted from moulded earthenware featuring an overall basketweave texture in a cream glaze. The handle is designed as a fruiting vine with hand-painted polychrome apples and green foliage, complemented by moulded wheat motifs on the spout and base. The underside features a green printed backstamp reading Clarice Cliff, NEWPORT POTTERY CO, ENGLAND, along with an obscured impressed mark. The second item is a West German art pottery jug produced by Bay Keramik. It has a bulbous form with a thick, textured handle. The exterior displays a two-tone glaze with a moss green textured upper section and a bright orange central band containing embossed sunburst medallions. The interior is finished in a dark chocolate brown glaze. The base is embossed with BAY W.-GERM. and the model/size number 661 17.
