A collection of United Kingdom commemorative numismatic and service items. The group includes two 1951 Festival of Britain Five Shillings crowns, struck in cupro-nickel. Each coin is housed in its original Royal Mint presentation case, one in maroon and one in green, accompanied by the original informational leaflets. The obverse features the left-facing portrait of King George VI with the legend GEORGIVS VI D G BR OMN REX F D and the denomination, while the reverse displays the Saint George and the Dragon design by Benedetto Pistrucci, dated 1951. Also present is a 1953 Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Medal in its red cardboard presentation box. The medal depicts the Queen profile on the obverse and her crowned EIIR cipher on the reverse with the inscription QUEEN ELIZABETH II CROWNED 2ND JUNE 1953, suspended from a red ribbon with blue stripes and white edges. The collection further contains several badges including a British Red Cross Society 3 Years Service medal with enamel detailing, reverse numbered 56577; two General Nursing Council for England and Wales badges with green enamel borders, one marked on the reverse S.E.N. 157791 with the maker mark THOMAS FATTORINI REGENT ST BIRMINGHAM, and the other numbered 114725; and a King’s Badge for Loyal Service featuring the crowned cipher of King George VI.
