Monday 6th July - Antiques, Jewellery, Militaria, Coins, Vinyl, Toys, Ceramics, Collectables
This lot comprises an assortment of vintage items presented within a large wooden shipping crate. The crate is constructed from rough-hewn timber and was originally used for the export of Australian dried fruits. It features black ink stamps for Robinvale Producers Co-operative Co Ltd, Victoria, Australia, along with circular stamps reading Clean Fresh Sound. The sides and ends are stencilled with the words Sultanas and Five Crown. The collection includes a trio of studio pottery pieces by Tremar Pottery, Cornwall. This group consists of a large goblet with a dark brown matte glaze and an applied circular medallion featuring a Celtic cross design, and two smaller goblets with speckled cream glazed bowls and olive green glazed ribbed feet. All three ceramic pieces bear the impressed Tremar UK mark to the base. Included are two hardcover books: The Doyle Diary: The Last Great Conan Doyle Mystery, featuring a maroon cloth cover with gilt lettering and illustration, and the Pye book of audio, which displays mid-century hi-fi equipment on the cover. Small collectables within the lot include a rectangular black lacquered box decorated with a mother-of-pearl shell inlay border and central oval, a silver-toned metal souvenir case with a printed image of the Cromwell monument in St Ives, and a miniature ceramic figurine of a tabby cat playing a violin.
