A small Moorcroft pottery earthenware vase featuring a bulbous ovoid body and a short, flared cylindrical neck. The exterior is decorated in the Anemone pattern, employing the tube-lining technique to create raised outlines for hand-painted floral blooms in shades of crimson, pale pink, and deep blue, with green foliate accents. The decoration is set against a dark cobalt blue ground that transitions into a lighter teal-green hue surrounding the floral motifs. The interior of the neck is finished in a matching dark blue glaze. The underside of the base bears several markings, including the impressed uppercase letters MOORCROFT, a circular MADE IN ENGLAND stamp, and an impressed stylized S mark. Faint, hand-painted blue marks are also present on the base, likely representing a decorator’s monogram.
