A collection of six vintage die-cast metal toys manufactured in England during the mid-1950s by Morris & Stone (London) Ltd., primarily under the Morestone brand. The group includes vehicles from the Mobile Vehicle Series and the Esso Petrol Pump Series, all accompanied by their original period packaging.
The collection comprises:
1. A Volkswagen Micro Bus (No. 12) finished in ochre yellow. The base is cast with MADE IN ENGLAND, VOLKSWAGEN, MICRO BUS, and N° 12. It includes its original yellow and red card box.
2. A Foden Dumper Lorry (No. 18) featuring a red cab and chassis with a grey-painted tilting dumper bed. It is paired with its original yellow and red Mobile Vehicle Series box.
3. A Wolseley Six-Eighty Police Car in black, featuring a roof-mounted loudspeaker and light fitting. The base is cast with POLICE CAR, WOLSLEY SIX-EIGHTY (spelling as cast), and MADE IN ENGLAND. It is housed in an Esso Extra style box.
4. An Austin-Healey open-top sports car in red, complete with a cast driver figure in white. The base is marked AUSTIN – HEALEY and MADE IN ENGLAND. It includes an Esso Extra style box.
5. A Volkswagen Sedan (No. 8) in grey/silver. The base is cast with MADE IN ENGLAND, VOLKSWAGEN, SEDAN, and N° 8. It is accompanied by an Esso Extra style box.
6. A BP Super Petrol Pump (No. 601) accessory in green and black. It features a globe with the BP SUPER logo, an embossed BP logo on the body, a 360-degree radial arm, and a flexible hose. It includes its original buff card box marked No. 601.
