Monday 6th July - Antiques, Jewellery, Militaria, Coins, Vinyl, Toys, Ceramics, Collectables
This collection comprises several pieces of mid-20th-century costume jewellery. Included is a graduated bead necklace featuring tumbled, freeform amber beads in a variety of shades including honey, cognac, butterscotch, and dark cherry. The beads are individually knotted on a cord and terminate in a large silver-toned metal lobster-style clasp. Also present is a charm-style drop bracelet featuring tumbled green hardstone beads, likely aventurine, suspended from a silver-toned base metal chain with a simple hook clasp. The assortment includes two Scottish-themed brooches. One is a figural dirk or kilt pin design in silver-toned white metal, featuring a cast stag head finial above a central banded agate cabochon and a lower inset of translucent red glass. The second is a horizontal cabochon brooch featuring a textured silver-toned frame set with five banded agate stones in various colours including blue-grey, yellow-brown, green, and purple, in the style of mid-20th-century Scottish pebble jewellery. No maker’s marks, signatures, or hallmarks are visible on any of the items.
