A vintage British General Post Office (GPO) Model 332L rotary telephone. The pyramid-shaped body and handset are constructed from black Bakelite. It features a chrome-plated rotary finger wheel positioned over an alpha-numeric dial face. A small pull-out drawer, intended for a dialling code card, is located at the front base. The telephone is fitted with a coiled handset cord and a standard line cord. On the underside, a rectangular label is printed with the characters 332L, G.P.O. F.D.I., BATCH SAMPLED, and FWR 66 /2. Stamped into the metal rim of the base are the characters PX PX BA within an oval and D.62099 within another oval. The underside of the handset is moulded with the numbers 164 47.
