A studio pottery stoneware dish and a separate frog figurine, both finished in a mottled matte glaze of deep blue over a dark charcoal ground. The shallow circular dish is modelled in a stylised leaf form, divided into two compartments by a central curving ridge that terminates in a pointed stem at the rim. The accompanying figurine depicts a chunky, stylised frog designed to be placed within the dish. The unglazed base of the dish features a large, hand-incised mark in the form of a stylised, elongated S or a wavy tilde.
