A traditional Black Forest cuckoo wall clock featuring a hand-carved wooden case in the classic hunting piece (Jagdstück) style. The case is surmounted by a carved stag head with antlers and decorated with an arrangement of scrolling leaves and grape clusters in high relief. The circular wooden dial has a carved radiating centre, applied Roman numeral hour markers, and ornate pierced gilt metal hands. The clock is powered by a mechanical weight-driven movement and includes two cast-metal pinecone-shaped weights and a carved wooden pendulum with a leaf motif. A small hinged aperture for the cuckoo bird is located above the dial. No maker marks are visible on the case or dial.
