A West German pottery floor vase produced by Scheurich Keramik. The stoneware vessel is of tall cylindrical form featuring a narrow, stepped neck. The exterior is decorated with relief-molded horizontal bands containing repeating patterns of stylised ovals with central foliate motifs, geometric quatrefoils within square panels, and rows of small circular bosses. The vase is finished in a matte, mottled tan-coloured glaze to the exterior, with a dark brown glaze to the interior. The base is incised with the form number 517-30 and W. GERMANY.
