This collection of vintage angling equipment comprises an assortment of reels, rods, and casting tools. Identifiable manufacturers and brands within the group include K.P. Morritt Ltd., with examples of the Intrepid and Intrepid Surfcast (Patent No. 798,024), Shakespeare (model Ball Bearing 2230), Alvey (marked Mod 35/B, Pat App Reg 36173), J.W. Young and Sons (marked Redditch Eng.), and Garcia Mitchell (model 300A). The lot features several wooden centrepin reels, some with brass star backs, and a boxed Alcedo SR 2508 Italian Pride spinning reel. Also included is a group of heavy-duty aluminium moulds designed for casting lead sinkers in various shapes, including circular, egg, and teardrop. The fishing rods consist of several multi-sectioned vintage examples in greenheart and split cane. One rod is accompanied by a handwritten note identifying it as a 3 Piece Greenheart Fishing Rod, recently whipped by professional. Dated around 1910. The items are constructed from various materials including cast alloy, wood, brass, and aluminium.
