An antique Underwood No. 6 desktop typewriter featuring a wide carriage assembly. The machine is finished in a black textured paint and is fitted with a standard QWERTY keyboard featuring circular glass-topped keys. The Underwood brand name is prominently displayed on the paper table and front frame, with a decal on the rear stating MADE IN U.S.A. A small metal dealer plaque riveted to the front left of the frame identifies the vendor as G. GALLOWAY & SONS, Tel. No.: 7, Byram Street. 2634. HUDDERSFIELD. The carriage ruler scale is inscribed with COPYRIGHT 1895 1923 and UNDERWOOD TYPEWRITER CO. INC.
