An Art Deco period earthenware vase produced by Wade Heath and Co. Ltd. of Burslem, Staffordshire. The vessel features a flared, four-sided fan form with decorative wing-like buttresses at the corners, resting upon a stepped square base. It is decorated with hand-painted abstract and geometric motifs in a vibrant palette of orange, cobalt blue, lemon yellow, and green, accented with black linear details. The design includes a large black rectangular block and overlapping circular forms resembling stylised blooms against a cream-coloured ground. The interior and exterior exhibit a cream-coloured glaze with prominent crazing. The base features a black printed backstamp depicting a lion passant with the words WADEHEATH and ENGLAND. Hand-painted marks in black glaze reading 2 and 5155 are also present on the underside.
