A collection of four vintage glazed ceramic ashtrays comprising three Guinness advertising examples and one decorative figural piece. The three Guinness ashtrays were produced by Wade PDM in England and feature a circular form finished in a high-gloss black glaze. Each is decorated with the iconic gold-tone harp logo to the centre and Guinness brand lettering on the rim. The bases are marked with a red Wade PDM printed stamp. The fourth item is a Royal Falcon Ware ashtray produced by J.H. Weatherby and Sons Ltd of Hanley. This circular blue-glazed piece features three cigarette rests and a central polychrome figure of a kingfisher perched on a rock base. The underside carries the manufacturer mark with a Union Jack flag and Durability text.
