A traditional Admiralty pattern anchor, also known as a fisherman’s anchor, likely constructed from wrought iron. The design comprises a long central shank with a perpendicular stock located at the upper end. The lower section of the shank branches into two curved arms, each ending in a pointed triangular fluke. A heavy-duty D-shackle with a threaded pin is attached to the eye at the top of the shank. The object is finished in a uniform battleship-grey paint. This anchor is of a medium size, suitable for a small to mid-sized boat or as a decorative nautical feature. No maker’s marks or weight stamps are evident.
