This lot comprises a pair of vintage promotional figures representing Fred, the advertising mascot for Homepride Flour. Both items are manufactured from moulded plastic in a black and white colour scheme. The first figure is a standing flour shaker or grader, featuring a removable black bowler hat that serves as a lid; removing the hat reveals a white plastic sifter top with a circular pattern of holes for dispensing flour. The second figure is depicted sitting on a rectangular base representing a sack of flour, which is decorated with horizontal black and white stripes and printed text reading Homepride FLOUR followed by the slogan Graded Grains make Finer Flour.
