A sterling silver pepper mill of traditional capstan form by D R Mills. The piece features a domed cover with a knurled silver finial and a stepped circular base. The internal grinding mechanism is constructed of steel. The base is fully hallmarked with the maker mark DRM for D R Mills, the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard head for the London assay office, and the date letter H for 1982. The top dome is partially hallmarked with the lion passant and the leopard head.
