A sterling silver collar necklace featuring a central, slightly curved bar element decorated with an incised Greek key, or meander, pattern. The decorative bar is suspended from a flexible, braided wheat-style or foxtail link chain. The necklace is secured with a spring ring clasp. The piece is struck with several hallmarks: the numeric mark 925 is clearly visible within an oval punch on the clasp and jump rings. An additional set of three rectangular punch marks is present on a link near the clasp; while consistent with regional silver registration marks, the individual characters are worn and not clearly legible. Stylistically, the piece reflects traditional mid-century Mexican silver jewellery design.
