An antique fire hose branch pipe, also known as a nozzle, constructed with a long, tapered copper body and cast brass or bronze fittings. The narrow end of the pipe features a detachable brass nozzle tip with a hexagonal base that connects to a threaded fitting on the main body. At the wide base is a heavy brass female coupling equipped with two integral cylindrical lugs, a configuration characteristic of British-style fire service fittings used to secure the branch pipe to a hose. The construction techniques and materials are typical of fire-fighting equipment manufactured between the late 19th and mid-20th centuries. No maker’s marks, serial numbers, or inscriptions are visible on the item.
