An Ideal Crossfire rapid-fire action game, manufactured in 1971. The game comprises a rectangular playing board constructed from a composite wood base with a brown surface, featuring green and yellow plastic borders and two metal goal wires. Included are two red moulded plastic pump-action firing mechanisms designed to propel metal ball bearings across the surface. The game is housed in its original landscape-format illustrated box. The box displays the title Crossfire and the tagline The Fastest Rapid-Fire Action Game Ever!. Markings on the lower edge of the box front state © MCMLXXI Ideal Toy Corporation Made in England Under Licence by Ideal Toy Co. Ltd. along with the oval Ideal brand logo.
