A weathered cast stone birdbath of two-part construction. The piece features a square, shallow-form basin with rounded corners, resting upon a tapering square-section pedestal. Each face of the pedestal is decorated with a recessed panel containing a moulded relief of a single rose on a stem. The foot of the pedestal is finished with a gadrooned decorative border. The birdbath exhibits an aged and weathered patina with areas of lichen and moss growth, particularly around the base. The interior of the basin shows surface pitting and discolouration. A lot tag numbered 517 is present in the basin.
