A substantial collection of British pre-decimal coinage spanning the reigns of Queen Victoria through to Queen Elizabeth II. The assembly includes denominations such as Half Crowns, Shillings, Sixpences, Pennies, and Half Pennies. The silver-coloured coins consist primarily of cupro-nickel issues, but include pre-1947 silver examples such as a 1946 George VI Half Crown. Visible obverses feature the portraits of Queen Victoria (Veiled Head), King George V, King George VI, and Queen Elizabeth II. Reverse designs include heraldic shields on the Half Crowns and Shillings, the Tudor Rose on Sixpences, the seated figure of Britannia on the Pennies, and the Golden Hind on the Half Pennies. Notable dates observed include an 1894 Penny, a 1946 Half Crown, and numerous Pennies from the late 1960s. The coins are presented in a mixed format, with a large quantity loose in a black tray and piles, while others are housed in individual plastic flips and archival-style plastic sheets.
