This lot comprises a varied collection of decorative items, studio pottery, and branded giftware. Included is a set of five Hornsea Pottery earthenware mugs from the bird series. Each mug features a cream-coloured glaze with sepia-toned transfer-printed illustrations based on original wood engravings by Thomas Bewick, including designs depicting a Magpie and a Woodpecker. The base of each mug bears the Hornsea England backstamp. Accompanying these is a single earthenware mug with a dark brown and ochre glaze.
The collection features a tall, flared Art Nouveau style vase by Veronese. The piece is decorated with a high-relief design of lotus leaves, stems, and blossoms, finished in a dark bronze-toned patinated effect with green and red accents. The base retains a branded felt pad with the name Veronese repeated.
Also present is a hand-thrown studio pottery stoneware lidded jar. The cylindrical body features horizontal ribbing to the lower section and is finished in a mottled brown and tan glaze. The base is hand-incised with the marks SPRING 12/57 and a single character resembling a capital F.
Completing the lot are two round, enamelled metal gift items from the Mackintosh Collection, possibly compact mirrors or pill boxes, presented in their original dark green and gold foil boxes. One item features a stylized tulip design with red flowers and blue and green vertical bars, while the other displays a stylized rose motif set against a grid background, both executed in the Glasgow Style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
