This early-to-mid 20th-century watercolour on paper depicts a coastal view of Tynemouth, featuring the prominent ruins of Tynemouth Priory and Castle atop the cliffs. The work is executed in a loose, atmospheric style using transparent washes. A breakwater and beacon are visible on the distant horizon across the water.
