This lot comprises of an original watercolours on paper by the North Shields artist Thomas Hoult. . A coastal scene signed T. Hoult in a cursive hand to the lower left and titled SHIELDS HARBOUR to the lower right. Using soft, layered washes and a muted colour palette typical of the early 20th-century British school. The Durham view is housed in a mahogany-toned frame with a gilt inner slip and an off-white mount. The harbour scene is presented in a simple black frame with a corresponding mount.
