A signed limited edition screenprint by the British artist Norman Wade (born 1927), titled The Bailey, Durham and dated 1973. The work depicts a stylized, modernist architectural scene of the historic street in Durham leading towards the central tower of the cathedral. The artist has utilised a palette of approximately seven colours, including terracotta, sepia, charcoal, and blue, applied with his characteristic layered and textured technique. The print is inscribed in pencil to the lower left margin with the edition number 35/100 and the title The Bailey, Durham. To the lower right margin, it is hand-signed in pencil Norman Wade and dated . 73.
