A collection of seven Victorian and early 20th-century cobalt blue glass apothecary vessels of varying forms. The lot includes four cylindrical shop rounds featuring curved glass-protected enamel labels with gold borders and red lining, inscribed SYR: VIOLÆ., SACCHAR: USTUM:, SYR: SCILLÆ., and SYR: RHEI. There is a large cylindrical bottle with a sandblasted or etched title reading SYR: RHOEADOS. The set also contains a classic ribbed poison bottle with embossed POISON lettering and vertical fluting to the lower body, and a small rectangular dispensing bottle with vertical fluting. Three bottles retain stoppers, including one mismatched cork or stopper in the poison bottle; the remaining four bottles are presented without stoppers.
