A set of glazed earthenware tableware featuring traditional fox hunting motifs, manufactured in England by Portland Pottery Co Ltd. The set includes a teapot with a detachable lid, a large water pitcher, a cream jug, and an open sugar bowl. Each piece is decorated with relief-moulded and hand-painted scenes depicting hunters in red coats on horseback, jumping fences, accompanied by hunting hounds against a landscape background. A distinctive characteristic of the design is the inclusion of fox heads forming the spouts of the teapot, pitcher, and cream jug. The handles are modelled to resemble hunting crops with dark brown leather-effect detailing. The teapot lid is finished with a black finial and features small relief-moulded foxes. The base of the pitcher bears the impressed marks PPC and ENGLAND.
