Buyer's Premium:

A collection of clear glass cylindrical apothecary shop rounds produced by the British manufacturer Beatson, Clark and Co. Ltd. These bottles are manufactured from clear blown glass and feature ground glass necks with original ground glass stoppers. The maker’s mark Beatson is embossed on the base of the bottles. Each vessel features an inset vitreous label, shield-shaped or rectangular in form, with black lettering on a white ground, bordered by gilt and red lines. The labels are transcribed as follows: LIQ: AMM: ACET: CONC: 1 AD 7; FER: ET AMM: CITR:; POT: BROMID:; TINCT: AURANTII; SPT: CAMPH:; and CASCAROMA (PHARMA). Five bottles are fitted with ball or mushroom style stoppers, while the Cascaroma bottle is fitted with a square-cut stopper.
