This vintage hypodermic syringe set consists of a glass barrel, a metal plunger, and two hypodermic needles housed within a fitted metal case. The glass barrel is printed with the maker’s mark EVERET arranged vertically within a rectangular box, identifying the piece as a product of the English firm S. and R. J. Everett and Co. Ltd. The barrel features black printed graduations in millilitres, with markings for 0.5 and 1 ml. The plunger assembly comprises a chrome or nickel-plated metal rod with a large, rounded thumb-grip and a grey-coloured piston tip. Two metal needles are secured in the lower section of the case via integrated spring clips. The set is contained in a rectangular, hinged metal sterilising case, which includes an internal rack designed to hold the disassembled components securely. A piece of folded brown paper remains within the lid, likely intended as a protective layer or sterile field.
