A contemporary sterling silver photograph frame of rectangular form, manufactured by Carrs of Sheffield. The frame features a wide, plain polished silver border with slightly rounded corners and a raised inner edge. The front is constructed from sterling silver, typically mounted onto a wooden or velvet-covered backing.
The hallmarks are struck along the bottom edge of the frame and comprise:
– Sponsor’s mark RC for Carrs of Sheffield Ltd (Richard Carr)
– Fineness mark 925
– Sheffield Assay Office town mark (stylized rose)
– Lion Passant for sterling silver
– Date letter q for 1990
