This bronze sculpture depicts a woman in mid-20th-century fashion seated upon a tall three-legged bar stool. The figure is cast in bronze with a dark brown-to-black patina on the exposed skin, contrasting with a textured gold-toned gilded or cold-painted finish on her wide-brimmed hat, off-the-shoulder dress, and shoes. The subject is posed with her legs crossed and hands resting on her knee, exhibiting stylized proportions characteristic of the Art Deco period. The stool is cast as an integral part of the sculpture. A circular foundry seal is stamped on the lower right side of the dress, featuring a three-masted sailing ship emblem with the text Garantie De Bronze around the upper perimeter and Paris at the base. Small white protective caps are present on the feet of the stool.
