Roseville Pottery Bleeding Heart pattern vase, shape number 651-3. This small bulbous earthenware vessel features a six-pointed scalloped rim and two small pierced lug handles. The exterior is decorated in relief with clusters of bell-shaped flowers and large stylized leaves, finished in blended matte glazes of forest green, sage, and pale tan. The interior is finished in a yellowish-tan glaze. The base is embossed with the manufacturer mark Roseville U.S.A. and shape number 651-3. There is a hand-written numeral 72 in dark pigment to the base.
Height: approximately 3 inches (7.6 cm).
