A vintage Martindale Crocodile Brand machete and a British Royal Navy uniform button. The machete is constructed with a heavy-gauge carbon steel blade featuring a full tang and an upward-curving tip. The handle consists of two contoured wooden scales fastened to the tang with three steel rivets. The blade retains partial elements of its original manufacturer’s label, with visible text including GUARANTEE THIS TOOL HIS MARK and the suffix TY. This tool was produced by Ralph Martindale and Company Limited in Birmingham. The second item is a British Royal Navy uniform button, likely from a tunic or greatcoat. It is crafted from gilt-brass and features the King’s Tudor crown positioned above a fouled anchor on a horizontally lined ground. This design was in use during the reigns of Edward VII through to George VI.
