This collection comprises a variety of British military and civil badges and buttons, primarily dating from the early to mid-20th century. The lot includes a post-1921 pattern white metal cap badge for The Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire), featuring the Lancashire Rose surmounted by a crown and a lion statant guardant with a scroll embossed THE LOYAL REGIMENT. Also present is a curved brass shoulder title for the Royal Sussex Regiment embossed R SUSSEX. A notable piece is a gilt and enamel sweetheart or lapel badge for the Loyal North Lancashire regiment with an attached enamelled Belgian flag, likely dating to the First World War period. Civilian transport interest is represented by a white metal button for the London Midland and Scottish Railway Company featuring a thistle and rose design, and a white metal button for the Blackpool Corporation displaying the municipal coat of arms. The collection further includes three brass General Service buttons featuring the Royal Coat of Arms, a brass Royal Army Service Corps (RASC) button, and a small brass Royal Artillery button with crossed cannons. Completing the group are two RAF pattern buttons featuring an eagle surmounted by a crown, one with a heavy dark patina and another in blackened metal.
