A pair of German WWII-period machine-embroidered cloth insignia patches, identified as national emblems (Hoheitsabzeichen). Each patch features an eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed swastika, embroidered in silver-grey thread. The emblems are set onto shaped black fabric backings. This specific colour combination of silver-grey thread on black is typically associated with the Heer (Army) for use on various garments, including the black Panzer uniform or other specialised dress. Both patches show the corresponding embroidery structure on the reverse side. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on either item.
