A collection of United States silver dollar coins comprising Peace and Morgan issues. The Peace dollar is dated 1935 and features the profile of Liberty on the obverse with the inscriptions LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and the date. The reverse depicts an eagle perched on a mountain peak with UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE. The Morgan dollars include specimens dated 1881, 1884, and 1885. These coins feature the head of Liberty on the obverse surrounded by the legend E PLURIBUS UNUM and the date. The reverse of each shows an eagle with outstretched wings within a wreath, surrounded by UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, In God we trust, and ONE DOLLAR. Several coins in the collection exhibit the O mint mark for the New Orleans Mint located on the reverse above the DOLLAR denomination. These coins are struck in a composition of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper.
