Buyer's Premium:

A group of mid-20th century items including hand-carved wooden serving pieces and silver-plated flatware. The wooden ware consists of a deep leaf-shaped bowl with an integral stem handle and a three-lobed divided dish featuring a hand-carved floral motif on the base. These items are consistent with hand-crafted monkey pod wood from the mid-century period. The flatware includes a set of six silver-plated spoons produced for Japan Airlines (JAL), decorated with the Tsurumaru crane logo and JAL lettering on the finials. The reverse of these handles are stamped SEKIHKK. EPNS. JAPAN with a crane symbol. The lot also contains a silver-plated souvenir spoon for Curacao, featuring a radio microphone finial marked CUROM and the word CURACAO in raised lettering on the handle. This spoon bears the marks of the Dutch manufacturer Gero, including a stylized G, the name GERO in a hexagonal cartouche, and the number 90. A single silver-plated food pusher with a flared blade is also included.
