A Victorian style five-bottle cruet set comprising an ornate silver-plated stand and five matching cut glass bottles. The frame is of oval form with a decorative pierced gallery featuring foliate scrolls and a central vacant shield-shaped cartouche. It stands on four scrolled feet and includes a central pillar with a large circular handle embellished with acanthus leaf motifs. The five glass bottles are decorated with diamond-cut bands and vertical fluting to the necks and shoulders. The set includes two oil or vinegar bottles with faceted ball stoppers, two salt or pepper shakers with perforated silver-toned caps, and a mustard pot with a hinged lid and small condiment spoon. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are present on the frame or the metal fittings.
