A contemporary rectangular sterling silver picture frame by the silversmith Ari D. Norman. The design features a plain bevelled outer edge and a decorative beaded inner border. The frame is fitted with a dark velvet-covered easel-style backing for tabletop display. A manufacturer label remains on the glass which reads AN 1974 BRITISH HALLMARKED STERLING SILVER Ari D. Norman LONDON. The frame bears a full set of British hallmarks on the lower front edge including the maker mark AN within a shield for Ari D. Norman, a leopard head for the London Assay Office, a lion passant indicating .925 sterling silver, and the date letter v for 1995. There is an additional common control mark featuring scales and the number 925 for international trade.
