A George V sterling silver cigarette box of rectangular form manufactured by Horton and Allday. The hinged lid features fine linear engine-turned decoration within a cross-hatched engraved border. A central circular cartouche is engraved with an interlaced monogram, possibly MAC or AMC. The interior is lined with cedar wood and the underside of the lid is gilt. The base is finished with a black textured protective insert. Full British hallmarks are struck to the side of the body and the interior of the lid.
