This framed commemorative display documents the membership of Brother Thomas W. Armstrong in the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes (RAOB), under the Grand Lodge of England. The lot comprises three primary elements: a large initiation certificate, a smaller membership card, and a ceremonial jewel with ribbon bars.

The large initiation certificate, dated 24 November 1970, is for the Air Diversion Lodge No. 8855. It features a decorative lithographed border with allegorical figures representing the five continents and historical vignettes including King John signing the Magna Carta. A central portrait of William Shakespeare is positioned above the text. The document is signed by John W. Coopes R.O.H., Grand Secretary.

The membership card (Registration No. Q.A. 8263) confirms the initiation of Thomas W. Armstrong into the Air Diversion Lodge No. 8855 within the Mönchengladbach and District (West Germany, North Area) Provincial Grand Lodge on 24 November 1970. It is hand-signed by the member and the Grand Secretary.

The ceremonial jewel consists of a circular gilt-metal and enamel pendant topped with a crown and surrounded by a laurel wreath. The central crest depicts a castle with a lion, and a blue enamel scroll at the base is inscribed WUNSTORF. The jewel is suspended from a tricolour ribbon in black, red, and yellow, which is held by a gilt-metal bar shaped like buffalo horns. The ribbon features two additional bars inscribed GOCH and AIR DIVERSION LGE No 8855.

The lodge name and geographical references to Goch, Wunstorf, and Mönchengladbach indicate this lodge was associated with British Royal Air Force personnel stationed in West Germany during the Cold War era.

Frame dimensions: 61cm x 34cm.
