A pair of rectangular wall mirrors, of the type commonly known as gypsy mirrors, dating from the late Victorian to Edwardian era. The mirrors are housed in broad oak frames featuring a relief-carved border of repeating arches and bosses, with a gilded wood inner slip. The glass plates are decorated using a combination of techniques, including reverse-painted floral arrangements of roses and poppies with butterflies. The plates are further embellished with etched and wheel-cut grape and vine leaf motifs to the top and wirework-style vases to the base. Each mirror features two vertical rows of eleven circular thumbprint bevels.
