An Arts and Crafts copper boat-shaped centrepiece bowl produced by Lake District Industries (L.R.I) in Borrowdale, Cumbria. The piece is constructed from hand-beaten copper and displays prominent planishing marks throughout the body. It features a scalloped, crimped rim and is supported by four small cylindrical peg feet. The base is stamped with the maker’s mark in five lines: HAND, BEATEN, a central dot, L.R.I, and BORROWDALE.
