A kinetic balance toy, also known as a sky hook, featuring a cowboy mounted on a bucking horse. The figure is depicted wearing a chequered shirt, blue vest, red neckerchief, and brown hat, riding a white horse. Constructed from painted sheet metal, the horse and rider are mounted on a curved metal rod terminating in a spherical counterweight. The mechanism allows the assembly to balance on a central pivot point atop a black-painted metal stand, creating a rocking motion when pushed. The horse’s tail and the cowboy’s arms are separately articulated pieces attached with pins to enhance the movement. The reins are fashioned from a simple cord.
