A cylindrical stoneware storage jar of utilitarian form, tapering slightly towards a short, inset neck and finished with a simple everted rim. The exterior is finished in a glossy, mottled reddish-brown salt glaze exhibiting natural tonal variations and a prominent vertical drip mark. The interior is lined with a contrasting creamy-white slip glaze. The body shows various firing characteristics including surface pitting and accidental incised slashes on one side. Near the base is a small, off-white crescent-shaped mark, likely an accidental smear of slip rather than a formal stamp. The unglazed base is heavily pitted and shows significant kiln-scarring and roughness consistent with traditional firing methods.
